f10 520i suspension one side high, one side low?

Today I was looking at the car...then I thought that driver side looks better than passenger side.

See and see then realised that the rear suspension height is totally different on both side. Driver's side rear suspenion wheel arc and tyre only got 3 fingers. Passenger side can put in 4 fingers. Both front left right are the same.

Rear suspenion height left and right differs by 1 finger, Is it normal or not?

Due to fuel tank? But I only got 3/8 tank...so at most is 20kg nia.

Possibly the reason why the car pulls to the left.

Well, battery is on the driver side. Not sure if that makes that much of a difference. I thought BMW would have balanced it up (exhaust is on the passenger side).

Mine wasn't balanced either, but now with bumper removed, balanced liao:

I will drive like this, no bumper, to ensure balanced tyre wear and tear.

But mine is different leh, tiak tiak taxi engine, only one side got exhaust box...

This is normal for all BMW cars. The only way to counter this is to use a coilover where u can set same height for front and back. KWV3 FTW!

I read overseas forums that those who have the pulling left issue had their rear cambers out of spec. Might be the case. Try to stand behind your car and see if the wheels toe in are similar on both sides.

Ya, maybe try later when I got time.

The steering pull sometimes have, sometimes don't have...seems very road dependent. Don't know also leh

Aiyo, that is the road not even so will pull naturally. If there is something wrong, it should apply on all roads. As I mentioned, all BMW cars have higher front suspension stance than the rear. If u want it to be both the same, only solution is coilover.

if u google, u will get bimmerfest, f10.5post, 5-series forums etc etc which have forum threads discussing this same topic (and almost any other topics u have posted in BMW-SG) since BMW was invented.

Do a bit of reading first and then ask specific questions. U ask a general question, u get general answers and then someone will ask u whether u want golf set or not

Aiyo so offensive...

Anyway I did search, but f10.5post only got one post with rear suspension unlevel. My front is exactly the same on both sides. On most BMW forums the issue is normal for most of the old e3x cars. Apparently tolerance is +/- 10mm...that is precisely why I started asking when my fat finger is 15mm.

I have the same problem with my e60 too. Driver side 3 fingers while passenger side can slot in 4 fingers ... Went to workshop check absorbers and spring no problem . Change control arm thought will be better but still tilt one side... I suspect the previous owner damn fat loh... Now I gave up Liao , tilt my head to make the car look more balanced

Your gap too big.... cannot see difference of 1 finger... hehe
