E46 Automatic to Manual Conversion?

Hey guys,

Just wanted some input. I've been looking for a while now for an E46 Coupe, but I've only been able to find them with automatic transmission. So after months of waiting, I've now considering just getting an automatic, then swapping it out with a manual transmission.

Want to hear from guys who've done this (if they have).

last time quite fashionable to swap to manual...these days seldom the case already, ever since the turbo 335i come out...

it could be done easily , try BVO, see whether they got spares...if not, try ebay.

Sourcing a manual transmission unit isn't a problem, just wasn't sure if it could be done reliably. Thanks for the recommendation though. I'll give them a ring and see what they say.

Go for it bro, talk to Bernard at BVO, done abt 5 conversions for that...he'll able to lead you to a 400 BHP project......

Thanks for the contact bro. Am still sourcing for a suitable E46, and once I do will get in touch with them.

Already got a 650rwhp M3, but that's gonna be stripped out, so the other E46 is meant to be an aesthetic-design showcase. Still gonna use it as my daily drive, so want it to be a manual.
