Driver Side Door won't open

Good day to everyone,

Had a situation that I have never experience before. The remote of my E90 allows me to lock my dirver side door but doesn't allow me to unlock it. Does anyone has a similar problem before? I have just called PML at Dunearn Road and they told me I have to change some actuator and got to change a pair for $400 +. Thought you can buy some average remote system with that kind of money.

Please advise.

Hi... Understand that this thread is in 2011 but how did u solved it?

I experienced same problem with behind right passenger door

Just saw a bro did a DIY recently ...... He bought an actuator from Eng Soon and then took off his door card in 15 mins ...... Then replaced the actuator in another 15 mins .....

Found the gears in the old actuator worn.

now it should only take 20min to remove and install the actuator.
just need a torx 20 & 30 screwdriver and test pen to do it.

Was quoted $800 for a pair with labour... Anyone got a cheaper lobang?

buy from eng soon and go to Onezone automotive at yishun to replace.Labour is 80 dollar.

a pair? both actuator spoilt?
the parts are sold individually, no need to change it as a pair.
only tyre should change in pairs. door and locks no need.

I had similar problem, purchased the part from Engsoon, the labor cost from regular workshop should be in the range of SGD 50 for the job.
