Cayman S (M) or 350Z (M) or 335Ci (A)?

Re: Cayman S (M) or 350Z (M) or 335Ci (A)?

Never never get the 335 please. Tolong. Don't you ever. This is not a joke. Never ever.:)

Get the Cayman of cos. Nothing beats the look of Pour-She.

The 350Z is also ok, just add a sticker "Gundam" on it.

Do bear in mind that a Cayman S with rather basic stuff like full leather is going to set you back around 330K......but it's a fantastic car. I tried also the non-S Cayman, hope I won't offend anyone :) but it's just too torqueless for me.....350Z is too plasticky.

You wanna add like 10kg of leather to a car which they (supposedly) made the gear knob a plastic one to save weight? LOL...

The Cayman 2.7 is not torqueless lah, you felt it torqueless becoz you were using autotrans. On the manual, the revs come fast and furious, in fact you'd find 1st gear too short (if you're using the 6-speed Getrag box option, not the 5-speed one). then you shift shift shift shift and all the time you can hear the exhaust warble and burble and the engine bark bark bark, and when you rev match you hear the backpressure on the exhaust blub blub blub .. sometimes you heel toe blip too hard the engine like peaks out .... then the car jerks a little and blub blub blub on the engine again. Fully rev matched downshifts got the gravelly sound vroom ... blub blub ... vroom ... blub blub ...

i'm sorry man, this is not youtube, I trying my best with words. The 2.7 and the 3.4 are very different cars. The 2.7 DEMANDS that you shift, the 3.4 you can get away with not shifting. And that's the big huge difference. If you are a shift enthusiast, you can have fun in any damn car including a 1990 Honda Accord EX with a manual shifter ... just that the Cayman chassis adds so much fun at the corners which you can take at 3-4-3-4 at full speed ... so for the fun to drive factor in the city and the surrounding nice roads, go for the 2.7.

another thing is that, with the cayman, I don't think i'm travelling at the huge speeds of my previous ride ... because it's so involving, the engine so exciting sound, that I'm too busy having fun with the cornering and the shifting to actually try to break the sound barrier with my ride. One might want the 3.4 but to what end? Can't travel that fast anyway save on the track, and on the NS highway, the difference is between 162mph and 172mph ... care to peak it out? Not for me, because even at 120mph the roads too lousy to give you peace of mind already.

Get the 2.7 put the 8K on the PASM, 6 speed gearbox and 3K more on the ECU and traction control remap given by the Sport Chrono option ... good choice too in addition to the 3.4.

Look if I were really thinking the 2.7 was gutless, I'd really just say so. I'm surprised on how the car reinforced in my mind that I really don't want the 3.4 ...

wah, this is as correct as you can get. The Cayman S is D-cup and the Cayman is A-cup. KORRECT!

Depends on you, whether you're a D-Cup man or an A-Cup. I have always like A-cups for close company and D-Cup when I go for a lap dance. Difference is this is the girl you're marrying, bro. D cup really always get in the way and also sometimes she complain that her breasts are so heavy that her cooper's ligaments ache lah, etc. (hello, not Mini Cooper OK? Dr. SM Yuen can tell you that the cooper's ligaments are the things kenna strain holding that few kg of breasts)...

A Cups ... well, they make sure you don't confuse that this girl is a DUDE, but yet, not so big as to be in the way. This girl can go with you for runs, hiking, everything ... and at least people don't stare at her D-cup all the time ... A-cup being lightweight and fun ...

In any case, the champange glass (coupe) is usually the measure of the perfect breast, ( Urban Legends Reference Pages: Champagne Glass Origin ) , nobody has ever claimed that you need to use a Cold Storage plastic bag to test for good breast size.

You want the show or you want the real fun?

For someone who already has a daily driver (ie. practical, auto-transmission, four-door car with enough space for most normal purposes) and is looking for an extra car (and hopefully some spare cash left) to use purely for selfish driving enjoyment, which of the above three cars should one seriously consider?

"You wanna add like 10kg of leather to a car which they (supposedly) made the gear knob a plastic one to save weight? LOL..."

We all know that this saving weight story is a load of crap. Lotus elise with wind-up windows "to save weight". Throwing out any semblance of build quality saves even more weight. Give me a break. Anyway, I'm not spending over a quarter of a million bucks for a car with no leather and grey plastic on the inside of the A pillar! No thanks. Your mileage may vary.

"The Cayman 2.7 is not torqueless lah, you felt it torqueless becoz you were using autotrans."

Nope. Maybe it was a mistake to try it on the same day as the 335, but seat-of-the pants estimate was that it had about half the torque. Maybe torque isn't everything, but with that kind of gap....if I lived near the Italian Alps and could drive over the Pordoi pass every weekend or something I would definitely agree with you fully. Alas, the best I can do here is to find a highway on-ramp and fly down it like a low-flying jet [concluding by swearing at the self-righteous idiots who deliberately drive slowly, and at the uncles on vespas who shouldn't be allowed within 10 km of any highway...]. That's where torque counts......anyway it's clearly a matter of taste, and I think you have described the kind of driving style that is suited to this car. Our friend who was asking for advice now has plenty. Basically: if he has unlimited money, he should go for the Cayman S. If handling and redlining are important, he should consider the non-S Cayman. If he wants instant torque at any revs then go for the 335. And if he can't afford any of the above, the 350Z is the best car below 200K.....

Re: Cayman S (M) or 350Z (M) or 335Ci (A)?

If our friend has unlimited money, he should definitely consider the F430 Scuderia which is making me wet my pants and willing to suck for a living to get it. Or at least the R8, which is a good number for chinese people anyway.

As for finding the highway on-ramp and fly down like a jet, the 335i I guess would be a great choice, and yes it's a matter of taste. Don't forget, that time, get one with a TC Auto transmission.

Yeah the Cayman has half the low end torque or less compared to the 335i. Omar ate me on the straight no prisoners taken. Crazy torque.

But weight saving being a load of crap ... that one I beg to differ. Build quality does not need to be compromised by weight saving, in fact, the build quality of the P-cabin nowadays is pretty much bulletproof still. Saving weight means everything, less wear on the brakes, smaller engine capacity required, less inertia transfer etc. And I was kidding on the leather, though I did not spec it for myself, I know how important it is to many people. On my car, the gear knob, half the seats and the door handle are leather .... LOL! The centre console is plastic which I can wipe with a damp cloth. on my Odyssey however, seems that they had to kill a herd to give leather everything on it.

I've ridden and driven a 350Z quite innumerable times, but never connected.

350Z is like marrying a nice girl next door who try to work as a hooker part time. She TRY to be happening and wild but once married, you still see she a little conservative and though she's quite strong she refuse to do some of those kama sutra super kinky positions. She does everything very well, but not like some people born and bred to be sexy things. She's the girl which John Travolta asked in Saturday Night Fever - you a nice girl or a pig?

While the GT3 is like marrying a hooker, the Cayman S is more like marrying a stripper, and the Cayman is all about the stripper's little sister. I ... uhhh... prefer the little sister, thank you.

The MX5 is a tramp. The nice thing about it being a car and not a human is that you can't get HIV off the MX5. That makes it greatly fun! She's the girl that all your friends have slept with and is so fun and nice and giving.

The S2000 is a nympho, much more demanding than a hooker, stripper or tramp, but a nympho while thriving on high velocity piak piak piak is not so well versed in the art of satisfaction of the other party, and if you stray from the high velocity piak piak piak she may just throw you off.
