Saw this in another forum. I think it will be useful for everyone here

Please post your post and cost for everyone's comparison. Would be useful for would be buyer/upgrader/downgrader

Model: E82 135i

Road Tax : $2362 per year

Insurance : $3200 per year

Home Parking : Nil

Office Parking: $192.60 x 12 = $2311.20

ERP Charges : $50

Loan : $1200 x 12 = $14400 (based on $98000 downpayment - balance 5 year loan)

Basic Maintenance : $500

Petrol : $100 x 52 = $5200

Total : $28023.20

P/S : Bros with Z4 S23i and S35i..pls post...i might wanna change thxxx

Maybe should factor in depreciation rather than loan amount.

Then you should also add the downpayment amount divided by the number of years of the instalment period.

use to monitor the TCO very closely but once i factor in the mods ...there is absolutely no point liao.
coilover how much liao ?
forged rim how much liao ?
front/rear bbk how much liao ?
exhaust how much liao ?
list goes on .......
the mods can easily cover "huge portion" of the annual cost of ownership for the 1st 3 years ... keke
to keep annual cost of ownership to "reality" is to stay stock and quit forum .... just a simple rim upsize already cost few k ... 16/17" rim cannot drive meh ? hehe

monthly instalments, depends on how much upfront cash u place. $1000 monthly for me.

office parking: Paid for

Petrol: $160

grooming: $600 a year

road tax: $1800

insurance: $1600

servicing: 10,000 km in 10 months, $280

ERP: $30

Yeah, being 27 puts me in the will-kill-myself-with-rage age bracket despite having a 40% ncd. I had better luck with my 2.5l roadster at $1500. Odd.

Probably makes sense to leave out loan instalments/depreciation - as this is quite subjective depending on one's financial arrangement.

On operating costs alone:

E90 325i

road tax: $1800
petrol: $200 x 12 = $2400 (approx 840 km per month)
ERP: $50 x 12 = $600
office parking: $300 x 12 = $3600
insurance: $1700
maintenance (budgeted): $1000
miscellaneous parking: $50 x 12 = 600
grooming: $200

Total: $11,900 p.a.
