Anyone used additives when pumping petrol? Been using STP on my ride when pumping petrol. Wonder if can save fuel and increase mileage. Advices from brothers?

FYI - The STP additives works on 92 RON only, for 95 and 98 RON it is entirely ineffective. Instead of using e STP additive for every fuel top up, u might as well pump Shell V-Power. At least that additive does improve a tiny-winy-micro-mini response but more importantly, cheaper than using STP at every fuel top-up.

Dunno if it's true but I use it together with sheLL 98 on STP versus esso 98 with STP, I feel that it's better mileage on shell.

may work for old car due to engine wear n tear..don't waste $$$ if your ride is new

Additives? Yes.

Addictives? No - might land you in jail or even a hanged.

Additives might be useful to prolong the life of your HPFP if you're driving a turbo-charged engine, e.g. N54 / N55.

Try Shell 98 w/o STP and esso 98 with STP, u likely to have shell 98 with better mileage too. Think about it, 1x bottle of STP how much? Does the better mileage justify its use per fill up?

I do find STP Octane Booster gives better power and quieter engine (maybe can save fuel by throttle less) .. even after using Shell V Power, I do add this additive during days I am on leave for more sprited driving : )

What is useful juz before fuel filter change would be fuel system cleaner. It would also be a good habit to change petrol filter every 50k km & fuel pump every 100k km.
