Is that possible? Hahaha, I'm sure there will be many people in Sg and around the world trying that... I'll be following closely.
Not sure how significant the gear shift changes is on the road, given the large amounts of torque.... even the road testers say that 0.4s or less 0-100kmh difference is not perceivable.
I rarely downshift in my car, in fact if I leave it in 5th (S-mode) I can overtake on the highway easily w/o downshift... and that's with stock engine. Although looking at some good stuff... hee hee
IMHO DSG is very good for high revving frequent shifting cars... M3 is a great partner.
The Brabus Bullit (V12 TT) only have 5 gears, why need so many gears if torque not an issue? But need reliable gear to deal with all the abuse... and the current ZF auto is as reliable as it gets.
Maybe I'm sour grapes but anyone has an opinon to share?
