E60 523i 2005, overhauled at PML for leaking engine oil. A year later the same problem came back, missing engine oil. For every 3k travelled, top up 2 litres. I guess most E60 engines (520, 523 and 525) will have similar problem. Other than that, the car is running well.

What you changed I had done that on my old E60 and it did not help at all.

Perhaps you should go NSHW to clear some carbon, change to thicker oil and try to pump higher octane fuel.

I tried on my 8 years old toyota previa and didn't felt a thing. The $150 paid should better use for other maintenance.
