    FR: E65 VVT being HIOP-ed

Re: FR: E65 VVT being HIOP-ed The results sound about right, if slightly low, for the 3.0. The engine is already quite highly tuned. The improvements for the 523i is much better since the 2.5 is a detuned version of that found in the 525i. Even then Hiop still cannot get the same hp as the 525i.

    Classic BMW Racecars

I was in KL for the F1 race and managed to catch a parade of classic BMW racecars roaring up and down the road outside my hotel. As it was raining I caught the action from the hotel room 10 floors up! Here are some pictures but you will have to forgive the quality as it was raining and around...

    iDrive Hidden Menu & Chipping

Re: iDrive Hidden Menu & Chipping According to the part numbers in realoem the crankshafts, intake manifold, pistons, etc are all the same. I have been told that realoem is accurate as I had posted something along these lines in E60.net but no one knew for sure what the difference was. It...

    iDrive Hidden Menu & Chipping

Re: iDrive Hidden Menu & Chipping If you check the part numbers at www.realoem.com you will see that they are the same for 523 and 525. In fact the part number for a complete engine is the same! The only difference I could find was the MSV70 Programable Unit or something like that (I just...

    Where to weigh cars here?

Re: Where to weigh cars here? How about some port/container handling company? Don't they have to weigh the container before shipping? But the big question is "What was the original weight of your car in the first place?"

    Parking Sensors for E60 5-series

Re: Parking Sensors for E60 5-series I fitted original sensors front and back to my E39. It was more than $4k so I would expect it to be similar or more since it now integrates to iDrive.

    Caltex better than Shell?

Re: Caltex better than Shell? Both 98 octanes should be the same but Caltex Gold feels better, at least in my car. Don't know why! Those using Vortex should compare with Platinum!

    Installation picture on BMW M5

Re: Installation picture on BMW M5 Wow all that extra weight at the back! But I guess it should not be too bad with 500+HP.
