Re: Windscreen Chip Repair Had mine changed just a couple months new! Claim insurance if you have windscreen cover. Before you repair check if there's hairline crack as it will crack further if there is, then decide if you want the windscreen replaced.

Re: F30 1st service PML is ok if we bring in approved oil. Recommended BMW oil is Castrol but dont think they are using. Liqui Moly is acceptable to PML. They charge a bit more than $200 if you use their oil. Still ok to me. Enjoy.

Re: 2008 - 525 There are several WS that can service gearbox. Try them. I did my 6 yo 320 gb, just flushing it and it work beautifully for another 20k km before i sold the car.

Re: Fuel and engine treatment BMW engines are well made with no cylinder sleeves, the cylinder walls are all machined out of the engine block. Best not to use engine additives.

Re: WorkShop inhouse brand engine oil There are websites on synthetic engine oils worth studying. Just yahoo synthetic engine oils. Many tests are available. I use Liqui Moly and its good. Interesting how tests reveal that Mobil 1 is not the best performing oil.

Re: E92 335i Fuel Consumption PML recommend Caltex. I have good experience with Caltex 98 for many years.

Re: How low is the engine oil level before it triggers the warning sign? Best is to stick to same manufacturer... Each use their own base oil to produce their synthetic, advisable not to mix.
