MINI Countryman C Debuts with 3-Cylinder Power

MINI introduces its latest Countryman lineup, showcasing advanced gasoline engines. Now available are the dynamic MINI Countryman C, the robust MINI Countryman S, and a diesel alternative. Launched today, the entry-level MINI Countryman C merges MINI’s hallmark agility and driving pleasure with a range of standard features. Stefanie Wurst, MINI’s brand head, asserts the car’s spacious interior and efficient 3-cylinder engine deliver an unparalleled driving experience.

The MINI Countryman C boasts 125 kW/170 horsepower under its hood, delivering a robust performance. It swiftly accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 212 km/h. Key to its prowess is 280 Nm of torque, cutting-edge TwinPower Turbo technology, and an integrated mild hybrid system. This setup aids in brisk acceleration and efficient energy recovery during braking. Importantly, these features also help lower emissions and fuel consumption, supporting environmental sustainability.

The new MINI Countryman’s exterior has received significant updates, enhancing more than just its under-the-hood capabilities. This model is bold and sleek, standing eight centimetres taller and extending thirteen centimetres longer. Its streamlined body, characterized by short overhangs, a striking new octagonal front grille, and distinctive LED lighting, underscores the MINI brand’s agile essence.

It’s also not just about style and comfort; the MINI Countryman is also packed with intelligence. It offers Level 2 largely autonomous driving with the Driving Assistant Plus on highway-like roads for the first time. This feature allows drivers to briefly remove their hands from the steering wheel at speeds up to 60 km/h, as long as they keep an eye on the road and are ready to resume control.

In addition to its technological advancements, MINI provides four trim options for personalized customization: Essential, Classic, Favorite, and JCW. Each trim boasts a distinct interior finish, unique combinations of roof and paint colours, and even tailored shapes for the C-pillar element.
