Yoko Advan Sport Peeling

was inspecting my tyres and found the above damage... a deep scratch at the side wall and apparent deep cut cross the threads.. wondering is it that i hit something or is it something like the Goodyear F1 Assym cracking that some bros experiencing in this forum...

tyres are only a month old :yikess:

i only know this tyre side wall is weak....................but this pic looks like u hit onto something........

problems on goodyear F1's are side tyre wall crack. not the same as urs which happened on the thread

This looks bad.... time to change tyres.

Is your car usually parked in the sun? or while travelling on the road, you may have cut across some object that created the cut.

Had this experience too on my Advan Nova..... was wondering like u too but no conclusion so changed my tyres

the peel does not looks like a crack and the area is not a side wall

problems on goodyear F1's are side tyre wall crack. not the same as urs which happened on the thread

Looks like your tyre has hardened and cracked. did you check the expiry date of the tyres before purchasing it? How much shelf life does it still have remaining when u purchased it?

best off going back to the tyre shop and getting it checked - looks dangerous.

looking at the angle of the side wall crack it seems to carry through to the tread damage. makes me think you ran over something...

I only had this on for a month and the tyres are manufactured on the 10th week of 2010... everything relatively new...

normally parked under sun.. but guess i do agree with most tt i hit smth.. razor-sharp rock? :screwedu:

i saw smth like a crack on the side wall so was thinking if its related (then can get warranty claim)

but i do notice that this tyre is very soft which gives good ride comfort... but when it comes to foreign object on the roads, it is probably more susceptible to damage.. just my 1 cent opinion =)

Maybe you can post pics of sidewalk crack so we can better determine. But due to your other crack not sure if shop will use it against u to claim warranty
