Xenon light for E90 320i

Hello All,
Just bought an E90 320i. It doesn't come with Xenon light. I inquired with PML on installing xenon light and they told me that they are waiting for LTA approval to do that.

Any E90 owner manage to install Xenon light at outside workshop? If yes, how much did you pay for it? Does it come with the headlight washer?

Also, Do we need to get LTA approval to install the Xenon light? If yes, can the workshop do the processing or I need to do it myself?

It will take a while for PML to offer a xenon upgrade package; can be as long as 12 months. PML xenon upgrade is a complete xenon package comprises of auto-leveling sensors, xenon cluster and headlight washer. As far as i know, no workshop is offering xenon install at this time.

Another option: Import in xenon cluster and DIY.

If I'm not wrong, aftermarket Xenon don't c/w angel eyes.

Also, pls do a search or check with LTA cos I was told headlight washer is compulsory for cars with Xenon wef early this year(can't remember which month started). If it's true, how to retro fit headlight washer on stock bumper?

Silver31, in regards to headlight washer, that is why PML told me that LTA requires it to be installed. Initially, I couldn't believe it. So, If you heard that before, I guess it is true. I have sent inquiries to LTA. waiting for them to reply.

If it's true, then you better check how to DIY or install the headlight washer before installing the Xenons.

Sorry but dun make sense. Head light washers cannot be made compulsory for Xenon headlamps. I think auto leveling is the what you are refering to.

I think they follow Europe specs, if I'm not wrong. As you know, there's nothing we can do if LTA impose it...IMO

Bro there isn't any aftermarket xenon. I am refering to original BMW xenon cluster therefore it comes complete with the 'floating' angel eyes.

You are right about LTA: xenon headlight MUST come complete with headlight washer and auto-leveling devices. Apparently this is in accordance to some EURO standards. Therefore to be absolutely legal, you have to change your bumper, install washer, swap over cluster, wire up auto-leveling sensors to shocks and program ECU. Cost? approx 6k.

I ain't no expert so looking at the complexity, i'm sort of shying away from the thought of DIYing.

Hey I got offer to buy from Germany complete original xenon kit with auto-levelling, wiper washer kit. But skeptical about the DIY bit, who can I ask to install? As far as I know, you probably would not need to replace your original bumper. Just like the reverse sensors, they will drill holes onto your bumper for installation.

I got a quote from a Ebay seller:

Prices in Euro for the complete set:
The Set Xenon Headlights with AHL 1099,- and the washer system for this 100,- Euro.You would need for this a new switch for the light and a new module too ,for 245.

Altogether, should work out about $3K after shipping charge (before GST) I suppose. The customs has been quite sticky about internet transactions and they insist on showing proof of purchase such as paypal receipt or ebay closed price.

BTW, bros I hv also just done a group buy with this seller on Ebay on the blackline lights and OEM rear spoilers (primed). Will keep you guys posted on the delivery, probably by early next week.

Well, the question is how much does the installation cost though? I actually regretted not having it indented on my ride when I placed the order.

Installation charges by Mike at est. $1,000 inclusive of lights coding & LTA inspection.
