xenon headlamps - need to confirm

U gotta tell us if your car's a pre-fl or a fl car and what year make it is for us to help. For me, mine's a 2002 pre-fl coupe so all i have to do is to swap to xenons and take out a fuse and all's ok!

ok... when it says the self-leveling, it is refering to the 0,1,2, knob which adjust the level of the headlights? Cos I changed mine, and the knob no longer work now. Anyway to make it work with the xenon?

I'm on a pre-fl 02 too.

Auto leveling is not the knob at the side... autoleveling is another module that is installed near the front shocks... if you have that module, the xenons will move according to angle of car relative to ground....

With xenons on your car, you do not need the 0, 1, 2 knob already since the auto leveling will do it all for you.

oops, sorry, mine is FL sedan 04.

i read most coupes no prob with the swap. for sedan?

oh... so if the car comes standard with xenon, it will not have that knob in the car?

So can we buy the auto-leveling module and install it? Is it very ex?

ok, i know this topic is covered many times, but after reading thru, still a bit confused, mainly becos many posting refer to aftermarket lamps rather than bmw OE ones.

it possible to upgrade from stock halogen headlamps to bmw OE bi-xenon headlamps?

is the process like this?
1) buy bmw oe xenon lamps
2) swop with stock halogen lamps
3) get worksohp to adjust ecu to recognise lamps/remove bulb-out indicator

what feature will not work?
- self leveling? or will it work?
