Re: X5

GO FOR IT!!! Pardon the punt.

Its a fantastic car. I've owned many BMWs and this is the 1st one that has remained problem free since the day I collected it. Its been slightly over 4 mths now.

Re: X5

Got mine "pre-owned" 1.5 yrs old. The only words I can think of now are : HEAVY and THIRSTY.

The ride quality is fine. Active steering makes it easy to maneuver and handling is pretty sharp. I have got 20" run-flat tyres on. I am sure these do come with a premium when it is time for a change. Manage to get only 5-5.5km per litre. Already not pushing it although did quite a fair bit of city driving....which I think attributed to the heavy petrol consumption.

Not taken it off-road, so don't know if it is as nimble on the dirt tracks. Do need to watch out in tight carpark lots though. It will need a decent size lot. Not many folks will like to park next to mine ..properly afraid of my side steps. :)
