X5 or 730Li

Hi mates, need some advise and thanks in advance. Drove a 525 for almost 3 years and thinking of a change. Considering X5 3.0 or 730Li and have been quoted SGD252k and SGD255k respectively, sales person doesn't seem to want to reduce the price one bit....or I am a poor negotiator. What is the best price you think can be achieved? I read in another thread that X5 3.0 goes for SGD228k?

The options in X5 3.0 seem to be rather basic though the attraction is that it is a whole new model.

On the other hard, 730Li comes with a lot of options but it is going to be end-of-life. It is also a very comfortable car.

Twice a year I go for long drive to Northern part of Malaysia with my family for holidays and do drive up to some mountain resorts.

I guess my final decision is still greatly based on price.....any advise would be appreciated. Thanks again.

frankly it depends on your needs, the 730 is the good value for money car, but LWB is a little difficult to park. I beiliev the latest model will come with advanced DVD and bluetooth and Aux-in. X5 is a great car but im sure the price will stay at 252 for the next year or so 228 shd be a PI car. new 7 series shd reach our shores ard 1qtr to 2 qtr in 2009.

both cars are of different segment. 7 series is a lux limo and x5 is a SUV. it all depends on what u want. kinda difficult to compare both of them side by side.

if i am u, i will go for the x5.

just my 2 cents opinion...
