X3 4x4 yellow warn lights on when going upslope 2009 model

Hi all, just bought a used X3 for short term ride. The 4x4 yellow warning light will appear when ever i step on the gas during upslope or when pass 140KM (JB highway). Wonder if there a concern on this? When hit 140KM, seen light the car apply brakes on it own and I can't go faster from there. Appreciate your feedback thanks!
