X1 - without Bluetooth for telephone

Hi,

Asking for a friend -anyone knows if BMW X1 without Bluetooth option, can it be install ? Without I drive and the radio menu got no 'tel' icon.

What's the alternative if not possible?

But I saw a 1 series with no I drive has the blue tooth tel option .

Maybe either get a HU with BT (like what Ac323 said) or get a mulf2 (BMW bluetooth module) unit ...... Depends if the ride comes with the wiring already pre-installed for mulf2 ......

Can install BT module seperately. The module is called TCB or MULF or MULF2 or COMBOX depend on the MOY.

BMW car before NBT release, Bluetooth use separate module, so there was no head unit comes with Bluetooth before NBT.

I think this X1 has the BMW professional Radio CD unit.

As for the pre-wired cable kit, if you don't have, adding a set will do. If you have then much easier to do this retrofit.
