X1 - Weak aircon fan blower

Hi Gurus,

I have just gotten an X1 (1 week old) and realise that the aircon fan blower is very weak.

The issue I had is that I have to turn up the fan to at least 3 “bar” before I can feel the cool air blowing sufficiently, once I turn up the fan any higher, it’s a bit too noisy.
My salesman went to check with the servicing side and they said that it cannot be changed to a bigger blower.

Compared to my previous old E60 5series, I understand the fan blower can be smaller but it’s just way too much difference between the two.

May I check if it’s a norm for X1? Anyone experienced it as well pls?

Thanks!

How about u try air con interior pipe flushing and top up the gas as well ? Cost like 60 for my f30. Did it for mine and the blower and strong, cooler and misty smell gone.

hi buddy try this, set the fan blower to max i.e 5 bars or so. put the temp to 22deg or thereabts, press the auto button and relax for about 5-10 mins. The auto feature will allow the blower to spin up as fast as possible to get the temp to your desired range then it'll auto reduce to a quieter or lower setting on its own.

The car is new, I think i’ll Request for PML to check on the aircon gas and all when I go back for servicing. Thanks!
