System used to be installed and taken out at Foon Audio on my SLK. Used only for 3 months or so before I sold my car. Over 15K spend if I remembered correctly.

All items are there for full system installation. Only need workshop installation charges + misc cost e.g. some cables length (depends on type of car)

The Thesis sounded warmer than Focal speaker but not as warm as the Morel.

Its a superb speaker for those who love SQ

I prefer focal speakers with focal 2 channel amps for each tweeter or each speakers.
Otherwise steg amps. Be are great choices except for the prices.

Ya thats my arrangement for Thesis too...they are power hungry.

2 channel Focal amp for each size of speaker.

The focal power amp are value for money...

Most 4 channels amp are not powered enough.

Usually many save money or space they get 4 channel amp just enough to power the tweets and speakers. But for good quality or max your tweeters and speakers indivual amps for tweets and one amp for speakers would be better.

Especially if you are investing alot of your tweets and speakers

Point to note though, if the cables were custom measured for use in the SLK, then the length might not be sufficient for most of the BMWs, unless Z4 perhaps. :goodup:

I tried using Focal FP 4.75 before which was a 4 channel amp... the system suffered a drop in quality.... when u bridge 4 channel amp into 2 channel for your speaker.... the sound quality decrease... even if the 4 channel is used for both the tweeters and the mid...the power is normally insufficient to really drive them to produce their best.

Thats why most die hard will always have one amp for each of the component speaker.

Thats explain why I have the Focal Power amp FP 2.150 (2 channel amp) x 3 units.. one for which of the 3 way component.

I have an enquiry from an Estima owner before... he post the same question to one workshop and brought his MPV down for a quote... the answer is yes... enuff even for Estima.

Thats because the amps are usually placed in the boot of the car and the length required for the speaker's wires to run from the amp to the A-piller is roughly about there. There are some I think not enuff...e.g. 7 series. Even if thats the case... new owner still save alot by only paying for certain required length i.e. speaker wire for the tweeters and not the whole roll for all the 3 component.

I am using Focal FC4 for the speaker wires...they are expensive.
