Hi all,
Selling with a heavy heart. My E39 is in Toledo Blue Color, with retractable mirrors sourced from a 540i.
it is a COE car. COE is till End March 2019 .It has been babied throughout the length of my ownership, because I believed it needs to be enjoyed the way the BMW engineers designed it to be.
Engine had been rebuilt , gearbox as well. No expense had been spared on restoring it mechanically with receipts to prove. I believe it is easily one of the best condition E39 520i locally.
Car comes in executive trim, with rear cabin blind and electrical rear screen blind as well.
The CD player has been fitted with Dice Silverline Duo to allow the E39 to play music on an ipod/iphone. I went one step further and got an APTX bluetooth dongle to allow CD quality bluetooth streaming. Being an engineer myself, i fitted a google nexus tablet in the dash for total in car entertainment, all the while retaining the OEM feel of the car.
The infamous E39 dead pixel problems on the high cluster has been fixed permanently. I specially drove up to KL to get it fixed by a skilled tech. No dead pixels.
Parts of the internal trim have been changed to black from a donor Japanese E39 with M Specs, with the wood trim changed to original E39 metallic gray color
Interior lights have been fitted with LEDS myself. Same goes for the angel eyes which uses CREE leds at around 6000k temp.
The rims are currently Mille Miglia 100 18inch deep dish rims. I will provide the original wheels which I am keeping to the lucky owner.
I consistently get more than 500km range per tank of petrol from this car, hence it's definitely not as thirsty as other E39s.
