anyone know where can i get this for my E46 318i steptronic?

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

Brudder.... it only comes in a whole steering wheel bro, like i mentioned.. new steering wheel with paddle shifts will set u back 1k plus... unless u willing to wait for a 2nd hand one

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

Get an M3 steering wheel - best is to buy used (ranges $550 to 750 depending on your luck). This assumes yours is not the PFL sedan with the square air bag. Must be round air bag. Else that will be another $1K plus to buy the round airbag. I think yours is the round type.

Then you can decide if you want the paddles to be stock or ...... Royal F1 type....... !!!

See mine on Tuesday !!! Muahahahahahaha......

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

i thot i read somewhere can retrofit the paddles only? mine is already the M steering wheel without paddles only.

wow, like that must wait till cow comes home.

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

NOPE ... sorry .. dun work like that.. u gotta get urself the steering with the padddles.

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

Actually can lah. Some people in e46fanatics have done it.

But it's not a simple process. Gotta drill holes into your steering wheel, fabricate metal parts, circuit boards...etc.

Call up Mike, he claims to be able to do the conversion:

Then just ask BVO to do it for you. Easy job.

This is a public forum and there are women surfing this forum too.
I would advise you to watch the first 15 mins of "irreversible" starring Monica Bellucci, Vincent Cassel, then tell me if you can use the word so liberally ever again.
Please go watch it.

Re: WTB retrofit paddles for E46

Yar lo... the show... really shocking. The scene in the dodgy underground place where the guy gets whack, pure ICKYNESS.

Can still see the shattered head spasm-ing.. :|

To put it simply:

1) Buy M3 steering wheel with paddle shift (SMG steering wheel)

2) Buy the matching steering column so that your paddleshift wires that you connect from your gearbox will not get tangled when you turn the steering wheel

3) Go to BVO and have it fixed, or if you have expert help like me (from Singapore's national engineering treasure, subzero), you can install it yourself. Only things you need are tools and a couple of wires and connectors.

4) If you're very "hiao" like some of us, and want the batman look, go and buy the Royal F1 paddles from:

http://www.smgpaddles.com/Product.html

Installation of the paddles is very simple. Just unscrew and screw. Takes about 2 mins.

Me not Mu Zhi. Me is chickenbackside.
