Not for my car, but for a friend who likes to use it to play hockey. looking for 1 piece of bootlid, think e90 wld be best if not could consider e46. worse case maybe even a bootlid of a 5 series.

Only original ones, not replicas. if you have pls send me a PM and state type n price. thx

seriously, whats a bootLID? is it the cover of the boot itself? or are you refering to a bootLIP....enlighten please.....and what's it gotta with hockey!?

His friend probably wants to modify it to become a hockey goal post. Cut out the centre portion and install a net, perfect.

As far as I know, the chiong bootlids are very desirable cos they're made in carbon fibre. Vorsteiner makes some for the E46 coupes/M3 but I don't think they have for E90 sedans. Original ones quite easy to get from Eng Soon or PML.

I think the non carbon fibre ones are more appropriate as they are heavier and hence are more steady for hockey use. But it would be a world first to have a carbon fibre hockey goal post.

ifs its true, it is gonna be a very expensive for a hockey post, why not just get a regular goal post, surely it is gonna cost much less and dont need to do any mod... and if ahbeng going to do it this way, why would he need the original lid...
Whats with 320i beating rx8, not really possible leh, unless its super modded

Obviously, Ah Beng's friend is a baller. A regular goal post presents no challenge to fabricate and invokes no ense of desirability.

It's very nice to say over a drink at the pub "Oh, the goal posts are made my BMW and Vorsteiner. The men's team use the BMW ones as they're heavier and provide a more stable anchor. The Vorsteiner ones are used by the Women's team for ease of transport..."

Of course there is no supercharged 320i lah. Who will believe. If have, I will be very busy entertaining queries on how and where was my humble drive was modded liao. Also I will get the entire population of 320i owners into trouble bcos LTA is gonna start inspecting every 320i one by one. Till today, my ride is as stock as it can be. I for one do not fancy modding cars. i am too old to be part of Initial-D . Will let my son do whatever modding he feels like in 5 years time when he gets his driving licence.

The 'hockey stick' is not for me, neither is it gonna be used for making a goalpost for me to practice david backham's bending freekick. I play shit football. Just a friend whos driving a non-beemer wanting to get an original bootlid for his car. Dont ask me why he wants a beemer lid on his non-beemer. His replica bmw bootlid have splitted, thats why I am helping him to looking out for one original lid. Just a boot lid only, nothing else. If anyone has one of this original one, pls PM me and I will ask my friend to get in touch with u.

Oh on the racing with an RX-8? Where got race? I was just joking. ha, thats my neighbour's Rx-8 ... he just a slow driver. We were not very much of racing lah. In singapore, where can u race. Lim Chu Kang Road? I have driven at 180km/h before, but that was in UK....all alone. If my neighbour's wife were driving his Rx-8, then its a different story cos shes a faster driver. As for the Cefiro, it belongs to my brother in law. there are a lot of young readers on mycarforum, being mischevious that day I was just teasing to see what kinda reaction comes on. Of cos I know the specs of the 320i, Rx-8 and cefiro.....to tell u all the truth I do not like racing and i also strongly encourage everyone not to race. u can kill someone in the act as well as yrself. I am serious when I said I got booked 8 years ago driving at 125km/h. Almost lose my driving licence back then. In reality I am not really interested in which car is faster/slower, better/worse, nicer/ugly. there is nothing to show off or be shy, its just a car. My boss is a millionaire, and he only rides a motorbike to work.

ahbeng has, i don't doubt, been stirring some mixed emotions among some of us recently.. however i'd like to tell you about something that happened to me last night.

awhile ago, there was another new member that joined us and didn't practice the forum behaviour that we are used to. his name was dennis lim.

there were lots of comments flying around about him, mean posts on his threads and what not.. i'm sure some of you can remember. his case was really similar to ahbeng's.

when we organized the first night drive, dennis put his name down. many of us, including me, doubted that he would turn up. but he did. and he really did have a 330ci. he wasn't lying and he wasn't kidding around. i didn't manage to speak to him much, but he did participate all the way and even had supper with us in the end.

he was there for the second night drive too, although i didn't get to speak to him much.

last night i was at liang seah st. having dinner with a good friend. dennis and his wife came along and we greeted each other. we sat together and he bought me a round of drinks. in the end, after 30 minutes of good conversation, i realized that this fella really has a nice personality and he isn't at all like his forum persona. he has a genuine interest in making friends and learning more about the BMW marque. he also shared some nice ideas about future meet-ups with me.

i was very happy to bump into him.

what i'm trying to say is, give ahbeng a chance la. some people have different ways of expressing themselves. in the end, when we finally meet ahbeng, i'm sure we'll grow to like him.

there have been two (or more?) threads about the lexus vs. bmw shit that have been shut down by the admin. that doesn't reflect well on us as a community. think about it.

in the meantime, good luck with finding your bootlid ahbeng and i hope to see you at the meetup.
