wood trim to aluminum trim E60

aluminium one cost 1400 bucks as of 2006 when i changed...easily cost 1700 now... why would someone downgrade his alum trim to the cheaper stock wood ones?
unless you are looking to top up.... but then again... anyone that changed to alum trim would still have his stock wood trim still unless he opt for the alum trim brand new... and that goes back to my first point
i see thanks for the explaination. As i was buying my car surfing around, it seems those car that comes with aluminum trim tends to have lower omv of below 50k for E60 and so i thought that wooden trim is more "uncle" and cost more. Hence the thread. Now the question is where to buy the aluminium trim? PML or eng soon? or any bro selling car fix back wooden trim and wish to sell the aluminium trim? Thanks
Hi just to update i called up eng soon and a guy over the phone told me the aluminum trim is around 1.4k and when ask about the wooden walnut trim, he said that is more ex. So my question is that our stock wooden trim is considered walnut colour? Mine is dark brown and is there another kind of brown?
If this is correct, it means that some e60 that comes with aluminum trim is indeed of lower OMV as one of my fren mention as usually they are being sold after using to fetch VIP for the various event like airshow/APEC...etc. Of course no offence to those bro who opt for the sportier aluminum trim when they bought they car coz they dun like the wodden trim...thanks...
