Re: Wiper washer container

Gasket to be replaced. About $50 I'd think.

The wiper indicator lights came on?

Re: Wiper washer container

Thanks Ken, Light On, is it a rubber seal with the filter?

Re: Wiper washer container

Ken, you means there a way to dismantle the pump?

Re: Wiper washer container

Actually I left it to the mechanic to replace the gasket. So I am not too sure of the exact process of replacing it the DIY way. Best is to google or check with one of the mechanics to err on the safe side.

Re: Wiper washer container

$50.00 is resonable bro, which mechanic did you get it done?

Thanks
Mus

Mus, the leak could be at the levelling switch area or the wash pump. Take note that the wash pump is actually being pushed in only in between a rubber bush. To prevent leaking at wash pump i suggest you pull out the washer pump and dab some silicon sealant and pushed it back. Provided there are no cracks at the washer pump or the container itself. I did some search in here since urs is the valvetronic 318i here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=AY72&mospid=47632&btnr=61_1084&hg=61&fg=45
Its good thing you dare to DIY, yes situations like this can save you a lot. Get parts at ENG SOON, sorry to say E46's parts are a bit on the high side cause i had co-owned it with my dad before. Watch out also on your radiator expansion tank which tends to cracks after 3yrs. Good luck bro:thumbsup:

Re: Wiper washer container

Thanks and Best Regards

Get it fix in KL, Not plan, recieved a call from KL on Sunday nite to attend urgent meeting, leave Singapore at 11.30pm, arrived Ampang Mc Donald at 3.30am, Breakfast, wash up and drove to cousin home at Jalan Keramat hujung, rest and found my front tyre leaking, drove to gas station to refill air and look around tyre shop, manage to find at Taman Keramat Permai, shop name Eng Hin Auto repair with a big sign Sime Tyre, Changes parts as follows;

1. Asse-Bmenk Front brake disc pad 1 set = MR$ 285.00.
2. (BMW) ENK Front Lh/Rh Brake Disc Rotor = MR$ 880.00
3.(BMW) Front Wiper Pump = MR$ 195.00.
4.Labour charge = MR$80.00
5. Rotate/Balacing/one patching =MR$ 29.00.

1.30Pm drove back from KL to Singapore at average 140-160Km/H all the way until to the toll of MR$6.60 at second link JB, After the Toll decided to slow down due to my instinct say so, saw a Sg Honda intergral zoom pass me then a 2 km away the Honda get stop by a police, surprise it a lady driver, Lucky for me,

Till now no leaking on my wiper fluid and other problem and I think the workshop in KL have done a excellent job for my car, Cheers everyone, Mus.
