Wiper ruddering...

Dear Bros,

Does your ride produce ruddering sound after wipping your wind screen ?

My wiper would start all the irritating ruddering after wiping for abt 20 mins..

Had wanted to send for cleaning but was informed that frameless wipers would always produce such "effect"

Tried applying some cleaning solution on the wind screen but also lasted 5 mins more..

Any suggestion to rid this problem ??

Yo heeheehaahaa,

How old are your wipers? If too old need replacement.
Did u just groomed your car recently?
I had this issue, becos the wax on top of the car flowed down to windscreen after rain, thus causing the wipers to judder.
Irritable as it may be, I ignored it and it went off after a whiLe.

Hi heeheehaahaa79,

The car dealer way is to add washing liquid ie. Mama lemon into your wiper water tank and start spraying and let the wiper run. Sounds stupid but definitely worked. You could wash your screen with the washing liquid too.

Worked for me though it sounds stupid.

Re: Wiper ruddering...

Initially thought was wiper & had replaced it... but still came back..

I have also added the lubricating solution to the wiper tank but still fail...

Should I send to clean it..

My wind screen is 5yrs old though...

Have you ever applied any RainX (or any other rain repellent for that matter) on your windscreen lately? RainX is well known to cause wiper juddering.

Try polishing the windscreen with some polishing compound, preferably with a machine. Works for me.

Hey Bro,

Any recommendation where I can get it done ?

I polish my own cars. Whenever I machine polish the car (about 2-3 times a year) I will polish the windscreen too.

Any car grooming centre should be able to do this for you.

Re: Wiper ruddering...

go to auto-bac, ask for assistance that you looking for wind screen cleaning compound, unless you can read those Jap wordings, if not, you will never know that its a cleaning compound, ard $10.00, these compound will help to clean off wax that stick to your wind screen. Its comes with a small bottle and a rectangular scrubbing foam. Hope it helps....

My mech told me to let the wiper do its thing. After some weeks, maybe 2 or 3, the juddering should stop. Never try before tho.

Nah.. Have been mths since I last changed the wiper.. Still sama sama..

Re: Wiper ruddering...

if it's really that irritating, drive without turning the wiper on. but you have to drive real fast though, so that the water will flow away from the windscreen.
