windscreen crack

My windscreen just got hit by a flying stone and left a small crack,I know theres a kind of chemical where they inject in between the gap to fill up the crack,anybody knows where to get it done?and approximately how much? Thanks in advance

Just out of curiosity - is it an offense to drive around with a cracked windscreen? I recall it being so but can't say for sure. Of course, this is more likely if it's your front or rear windscreen rather than your side windows etc. Also, the bigger the crack, the more likely it being a problem.

Dunno if driving with a cracked windscreen is an offence....

But my windscreen has several stone chips (not yet cracks as the lines have yet to show). I heard we could claim insurance for windscreen replacement.

go find out whats ur insurance policy... some insurance policy gives u one free windscreen replacement every year... some needs you to pay a small amount of money (mine is $100) ... u can go to approved workshops or PML to make insurance claim for windscreen change...

then again..thats for big crack..small chips... no need to worry.. but u can choose to change if u want... the only downside is u need to put ur car for about 1 day... and make report loh

I have heard people advising me try not to change the windscreen unneccessary cause if its not done properly,water and noise may seep through,so I thought of just repairing will do.No one knows where to get it done?

also note, if you are planning to sell your car within the year, and you do a claim on the windscreen, altho it does not affect your ncb, but depending on your policy, you will not be able to get a refund from the remaining unused portion of your insurance premium.

yeap just change, and claim the insurance..

i got a flying stone, and smashed my windscreen. all thanks to Mr. Terry..
just need to pay the excess, shd be $100/-

Had a small chip on my window before and used this chemical thing u are mentioning about.
No problems till now.
