Will Changing Silencer System Affects FC

Sorry if this had been previously discussed before. lazy to dig up old thread so start a new thread.

I am interested in the exhaust silencer system (something like that) offered by pml. I wonder if upgrading the exhaust affect the FC? Will FC improve or suffer? I know for sure changing the exhaust will enhance performance but I remember reading somewhere that improved performance is equivalent to better FC. However, I also read some where that enhancing the exhaust will sip more petrol due to more power being produced.

So which is right? :thinking:

if you are refering to pml offer, i assume you are talking about BMW Performance exhaust for 318/320

my takes:
a. sounds good .... primary objective
b. minimal impact on low end as the exhaust is not a free flow muffler. if the backpressure is good it should improve low end like eisennman for 318/320
c. minimal-to-butt feel gain on high end. based on bmw performance spec i think it is plus 3-5 whp ?

FC 'mostly' suffer because your right foot start to become heavy. the exhaust sound comes sweet after 3k rpm
