I went to Autovox yesterday and heard from them alot of shops may stop carrying BBS range. From what i know, the new investors that took over BBS amidst their filing for bankruptcy has increased the prices by 12% thereabouts creating alot of resentment here. One guy at Autovox told me if thats the case, you might as well pay that much for tuner wheels and I guess thats what they are doing. Prefer carrying tuner wheels than BBS because of the prices.
I recently considered BBS CH, among several other brands, to replace the stock rims on my new car. CH looks nice. Performance-wise, you could get rims that are quite a bit lighter for the price.
For heavier rims, the trade-off would be acceleration, fuel consumption, braking response, handling and steering precision. But if you are hooked by the looks, then looks might override performance.
yeah.. that's what i thought.. would it be possible if say i goondu and blur blur use some very strong wheel cleaner, the spray paint comes off from using the wheel cleaner? (wheel cleaners acid based? )
You can find many stock BMW rims at major tyre shops like Hurry or Leong Seng, traded in by people upgrading to specialised rims. Some may be brand new. For me, I drive to the tyre shop directly after collecting my new car to switch rims. Better trade in value for stock rims when they are new.
