White ring lights not bright enough..

Hi , I change my ring lights from normal stock yellow colour to white ring lights but it's not bright enough. I seen other BMWs also have the same lights but really bright . Mine is abit blue colour as well. Anyone of you have the same problems and any solution? I bought this from a site sponsor of this forum. Thanks.

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

Not me hor.....haha
But to be fair, we have to compare apple to apple.
Can't compare to the f10 or e92/93lci ae cos it's a totally different setup.
When the bros ask me whether can achieve the f10 ae look, my answer is no.
Brightness wise, I think we can still achieve max 80% of that and the results actually varies from model to model and also the condition of the headlight, ie whether any heavy oxidation etc. in addition, if u are finding the 2nd ring almost non-existent, its best to check if the light source is properly aligned.
if really can't see a thing, the AE lights sucks big time then....keke....no doubts abt it, with the only exception being e90lci, cos my personal observation is that the light input holes are poorly designed, resulting in light loss and hence the damn weak 2nd ring compared to other models
i personally show the bros whom i am installing for, the light holes which the lights enter into the tubes for the AE rings...just some simple handson knoowledge so that they will know more abt their own rides.

Thanks Steve for the information. Mine is 525ixl lci . Will it be bright? Yes mine the bigger ring seems like no light at all. Some people told me no ballast. Is it true? Sigh... I like to have a brighter look. But may cost another 480 again.

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

hi steven,

many are changing to bright white angel eyes, but i still find the original amber colour is more fierce or menacing look.... like a wild animal staring at you.

do you have bright amber colour angel eyes?
maybe can consider making?

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

Problem came back again tho they change a new one for me. One of the expert bro told me that the Led light they sold me got no resistor that's why got this problem.

Sorry correction . It's that the Led light built in resistor is not enough to handle the current on my E60. That's why my Idrive keep telling me there's fault on my day time light..

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

bro John. why not let sszone aka bro steven take a look at your ride ...

my e60 just instal the ae with bimshop also with no error code on my idrive.. swee-swee

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

yeah just contact steven and let him take a look at your ride, top notch service plus no delays.Straight forward procedure install on the spot,no warning lights, make payment and off you go.Save the hassle from purchasing online and then waiting for your item to arrive(liable to delays) and crossing your fingers hoping it works fine after being installed.I've dealt with him for many of my car's light items already.

Re: White ring lights not bright enough..

thank u bros for the support....actually John already popped by, had to wait quite a while as i was working on a 6er last nite but i have advised him to consult the workshop where he bought from for a solution 1st.
u guys know my style, its not all abt sales or money....keke
imagine him writing off that 400+ and then spend some more money at my side.
as a end-user, i can't bear the thought of that cos end of the day, its all hard-earned money so make sure its well spent
