White Angel Eyes for E90 LCI

Hi Guys,

Anyone here drives a e90 LCI and has changed their angel eyes to white?

I've tried 2 brands one is PIAA and some Taiwan brand.

PIAA lasted for around 1+ months and it start to flicker.

The Taiwan brand lasted a bit longer for around 3 months and the ballast actually gave way.

Anyway is using very good reliable white angel eyes replacement, that is quite visible even in daylight (like the new f10)?

Piaa got 6mths warranty ya? I wanted to get that initially but its really costly.....i'm now on some taiwan / china oem...oso flicker when starting car but overall ok....at least not yellowish loh.......

How long u been using it? The things that it doesnt last. Flicker is the start symptoms before it just dies on you.

It flickers cos it's common for LED bulbs. Energy is stored in the bulb when you switch off your engine and the flickers happen due to the discharging. It's ok and won't harm your component. Mine flickers too so take it as decorative lights lor. Haha. So far so good no complain. I bought mine from site sponsor E92 lighting and installed it at my friend's workshop.

I see... Mine is flicker while on the move, not when switching off the car... and time to coem basically one side lights up the other side totally blown off....

Hi, yar is with xenon headlights....

The PIAA output is not balance between left and right.

The taiwan brand LED (with ballast) the ballast got totalled after 2 months.

bro, your definition of left and right....are u referring to inner and outer ring or left and right headlight sets

anyway, due the construction of the H8 angel eyes, the lights starts off from inner ring before making its way to the outer ring.
hence, the uneveness.

if its left VS right headlight set, chances are the the electrical output is uneven.

as for your flickering during driving, i think there's 2 possibilites:

1) led fault or
2) erratic behaviour from the resistors, ie the inverters in cases of fluctuating wattage etc.

Hi. I mean left as in the whole left lamp. Both rings are out of lights. The Taiwan or china brand brand design is similar to the one in ur photo.

the design in the mkt is more or less the same...only diff is the type of led used, resistor (inverters).

i used to carry Rdash AEs but quite a handful died on me, or actually on my customers so i did the necessary refunds for those affected and stopped selling which some of the other sellers still tried their luck continuing to sell it.

for my case, product no good i don't sell.....simple as that.
went into 闭关修炼 my AE kungfu before coming back with that....keke
tried so many AE samples, none was what i was looking for in terms or brightness and stability until recently which is like coming to a year+.

maybe can jio u for a test run to see if u like my new H8 AEs when they arrive

so far think its only Bro Wai Yew did that for his E92....cost i remembered was 1.5k i think
you sure u wanna do that when your car is so new? probably will void your warranty for the headlights and the electrical system...be careful

headlights are confirmed void if u touch that....car electrical system don't think so unless its so screwed up until it shorts everything which is highly unlikely. just be careful, dun kena those gei kiang sellers who tries to rewire or cut away your original wiring

Think the F10's are using HIDs for the angel eye...
Anybody keen to try retrofitting an aftermarket like Philips' HID for the angel eyes?
Error code is the other issue here...
