Which is better? The PSS or KW1?

Re: Which is better? The PSS or KW1?

Hi

Try FSD dampers, no regrets bro. positive feedback from Mini and beemers owners fitted with FSD dampers

I think very similar but for the piece of mind, get PSS coz KW can't clear some stock rims esp those with offset +43 and above.

m on pss for my 5ser. its adjustable to suit ones ride comfort level & looks good after lowering. more importantly road handling is good, i've arb installed, both mods compliments each other. car very stable when taking bends/corner s without any roll.

Re: Which is better? The PSS or KW1?

i've used kw1's before and i can vouch and liked it because it was tyring to retain the comfort while lowering. also its some high-grade steel that doesnt corrode. I had bilstein shocks (not coilovers) and it seemed to be more performance oriented.

anyone done an A-B comparison between Kw and Bilstein coilover before ? Also how does this compare to BMW's sport suspension?

Re: Which is better? The PSS or KW1?

The sport suspension is still a CUP set up...it can still very much induce squat when accelerating hard and it dives when breaking hard. The roll/floaty feel is very much there too. But hey, for spirited street driving it's fun enough.

Coilover can almost elimiate all those (at least the squat n dive feels).. The turn in is a lot alot sharper and more confidence inspring.

KW Var1 and PSS are in the same league. I think both are very good and reliable w/o sacrificing ride harshness. IMO, i think the damping rebound of those coilovers are probably somewot in the middle setting ranges of VarII and PSS9
