which exhaust sound like maserati

was wondering which legal exhaust for 5series will get the closest sound to maserati ? not too boomy, I kinda like the tone of the exhaust note but no $$$$ for maserati...

Trying to get a inline 6 to sound like a V8 is difficult.

I would recommend an eisenmann race or sport for you. Changes the tone during acceleration..but idling would still sound like stock.

Thanks Terry, but don't think will mess with the engine for this car, used to do that on my rex, stroke up to 2.2l, however, it's highly illegal for this kinda of 'upsize'....ha ha..

Thanks Great White for advise, will check it out with J4C on installation of m5 knob and i can get to hear how yr ride sound like if i confirm on knob from you...

One of my main concern is there any problem with white ants during roadblock? think as i aged ,my balls also grow smaller....or can pm me if not convenient to post , and also price for you to import 1 in. thanks

white ants wont really care lar...and the eisenmann race is not ridiculously loud.. its ok one...

For your case you need to get an exhaust amplifer... microphone added to your exhaust. Hahaha!

Aiyah...cause I kena escort to lane 8 before and it's very troublesome....those guys there goes to extend of using ruler to measure your bumper to ground clearance and point this and that, and end of day you got to fix everything's that's listed on paper and go back to lta. It's damn troublesome and waste of time.... which is why i rather do it 'legal' way or ways which white ants have no idea of.

Haha...maybe I'll record the sound of maser exhaust and amplifier on sound system so just play it loop again and again....

Sorry back to post...frankly is there any legal one that sound close to it ?

I am actually planning to do a "live" recording of my TUBI exhaust.... will share once its done! haha...

With regards to the sound, I think its quite difficult cos the maser V8 exhaust note you hear is both displacement note and the way the V8 is built - compare that with the rumble of BMW's V8.. maser V8 is not so rumbling but very smooth and melodic. Especially with the Tubi exhaust. (stock is pretty quiet)

actually i think you are right, it will become quieter instead. I used to have N1 exhaust on my evo and water from washing of car always flows into the back-box and it doesn't sound as loud as b4.
