have anyone of you installed any after market i.c.e on your cars ?

there is one bro here who spent 4k on his e90 320,he was very satisfied and it was money well spent according to him.

any reliable i.c.e shops.they like to chop chai tao like myself.

I'm looking at upgrading my hifi too and my budget is also ard $2k. Can share what did you change or install? Did you install Morel?

i'm also considering hooking up my unused amp however main concern is the ICE installer - needs to be good n experienced with BMWs. dun want my panels to rattle after removal or so short circuit as a result.

Yes, I have been holding back for the same reason. It is inevitable that if an inexperienced installer messes around, you may get rattling etc and I hate having to back again and again for the same problem. Cheers!

I got mine recently installed at Soundwerkz. I was having the same problem few weeks back with getting a good installer to handle sophistical electronics. Then i dropby SW as i am staying nearby. Pleasant discussion & i was told that the installer got lot of experience with continental so i let them do my ride. Good workmanship n reasonably priced

I was told yesterday that the head units that come in the e90 does not have a pre-out and so the set needs to be modified to add stuff like amps etc. Can anyone help to verify this? Thanks.

Sting, U can call Soundwerkz at 64758588. Located near Queenstown MRT, nearby closed Princess Cinema. They add a hi/lo convertor to get my amp working...

Hi Sting... all u need is to use a hi-lo convertor or LOC or watever they call it.... BUt some amps do take in high level input, so it may depend on your amps.

these convertors come in different shapes and sizes, different quality as well..
u may wanna check out David Navone - Car Audio Engineering though.... many competitors use products made by him...

My 1st setup was done at their Queenstown workshop. Soundwerkz already shifted to Balestier area for quite sometime. Now their workshop is located behind Whampoa market. Much bigger and spacious. Maybe u can give them a call 6475 8588 before u visit them or visit their website for their exact address. Probably u mention u from BMW forum or just say u are recommended by Ah Ken, might have special price.

Not exactly. U must highlight to the installer before any installation take place. They will have way to keep the original wirings intact. I went back to PML once to reset my airbag warning light, they didn't say much about my soundsystem.

I've used Tye Electronics on my last five cars (including three BMWs) and have been very satisfied.

Anyone else here done work at Tye?
