Where to eat Genuine Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crabs?

Any bros know which restaurant serves Hairy Crabs from Yangcheng Lake? Not surprising to hear that mostly are falsely claim to be from the Yangcheng Lake. Some merchants just dipped and washed the crabs in Yangcheng Lake and claim its from Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crabs are so much ex here compared to HKG or Shanghai... S$10-20 only... So must make sure I'm paying for the authentic stuff

usually level 3 where they sell all the foodstuff
normally when its in season, they will have in it their fridges.
the crabs are still alive so if u are not going to makan straightaway can put the crab in damp cloth n container and put in fridge, think they got into super slow hibernation stage

saw some documentary saying yangcheng lake produces abt 100k crabs per seaon but HK demand is 500k all claimed to be from YC Lake..SG will have? how to be sure? documentary also show how they "fake" them etc feeding chemicals etc to make them stay alive longer etc...

actually the real yangcheng lake crabs are tagged but alot of unscrupulous sellers are trying to add other hairy crabs (not from yangcheng lake) into the lot.
guess it depends on how trusthworthy the suppliers are, thats why most try to look for the longer running n reputable ones they won't want to risk ruining their reputation or sales over a fast profit......the yangcheng lake crabs gao is much better, but i think only the more trained foodies will know...keke

talking abt this, this kinda reminds me of some ninja sellers.....damn they got the cheek to peddle china made stuff as taiwan stuff and sell ex ex....how i know? i got product pics of these products down to the wire color by the sales ppl of these factories trying to push their stuff.....same analogy for the crabs....less quality product trying to pass off as the real thing but ask u pay the real thing's price :nehnehhh:

yangcheng lake is like a branding...IMO, as long as is nice, it ain't matter where's from....no need to find out where's from as even if you go yangcheng lake there itself to eat, you might be eating a fake one... This is China, anything can be possible...

9/10 ych hairy crabs aint comes from ych ... so the likelihood of paying premium for fake is 90%
real ych crabs are already grab by the affluent chinese ... demand > supply = xx times

YCH crabs used to be good because the water is exceptionally clean and clear but it is no longer the case. There are hairy crabs reared from other lakes that are as good. Plus those you get in Hong Kong is no where close to the original ones which you can only get from Shanghai. The last time I had a good hairy crab was in 2002-2003 and since then, no matter whether I eat them here or in Hong Kong or even Shanghai, the quality dips year after year...
