When should change the control arm bushings?

When is the time to change the control arm bushings?

It is true that changing to aftermarket bushings will improve the car handling but may have vibration and noisy?

Should I install OEM or Heavy Duty or PowerFlex bushings?

Anyone has installed above bushings please comments :)

Thanks :)

Hi ! Terry.

Thanks for your reply :)

Anyone installed Heavy Duty or PowerFlex bushings can share their experience?

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

I think Nolathene is the best option, OEM ones are crap

In my humble opinion, i dont think Nolathene bushes gives you a harder ride, but it does stiffen up the handling. But you must change EVERY bush in the front end. Swaybar, control arms etc

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

:) Hi, i changed mine when car abt 3 yrs old, they shouldn't be noisy and have vibrations. Infact it should be the same as stock but diff is that it's a harder material and makes the car feel 'tight' when driving as there is no play between the connections. Im using powerflex and considering now to change all the bushings in e other areas to powerflex as well incldg subframe etc. Gonna be a big job tho !!

Verdict - buy them ! coz yr stock bushing anyway will wear out eventually in abt 3 yrs depending.

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

the rubber shit they put between the metal so that your ass dont feel so bad and suspension don't clunk every time the metal move.

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

they r not cheap them bushings...i think mine needs to change..can hear a bit of clunkingn creaking....

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

I am sure they are reasonably cheap in Aus, I will check next week

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

Bushings are cheap but for brand cars like Maser aint..hur hur..

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

Any noise created after installing the Heavy Duty bushings?
I don't mind firmer but I hate noise :(

I had problem with my Anti-Roll Bar and had it greased many time but still have noise :(

Re: When should change the control arm bushings?

you want performance, then live with noise

you want no noise and no performance, buy OEM
