Taking references from the recent Sim Lim Square case, there was a mention of a victim being charged extra for phone charger and battery, which are supposed to be integral part of a phone (not meant to be optional item).
Have your sales contracts even mentioned that your cars will arrived with a set of wheels and windscreens and brakes and steering wheels... ? Well, you get my gist.
Imagine one day your car agent told you that since the contract did not state those parts, you have to pay for those.....
If this is not right, how could the Sim Lim guys get away from CASE or any authority?
If this is right and that legal grey area benefits the distributors, how else should the sales contract be worded?
