Wheel Spin - how to avoid at low gears

Haidees,

I am using mix-n-match tyres front n rear, different brands. The rear is wearing off with some 1 to 2 mm more before it reaches the tyre change indicator thinggie. front still has a lot more to go.

It has always been a probelm trying to launch my 335 at 1st gear. Today I tried after a rain and at 2 traffic light starts, I get wheel spins at the rear. Thats not even WOT:shock: Some times even on dry roads, I can also feel a tad of spin:shakehea:

how to rectify?:topicsuc:

get a wider rear new tyre?

get same width tyre which is ok?

dont mix n match because diff brand/model offer diff grip level?

or use a higher grip compound tyre at the rear than is more grippy than the front to take the extra torque?

Put countless bags of cement in the rear seats and boot. Sure no more wheel spin!

Tyre pressure too hard ?
Traction control off ?
Need wider tyres ?
Too much camber - go with 0 degrees ?
Change your rear suspension compression settings softer ?

Tyre pressure too hard ? 230kpa only
Traction control off ? Never, I good beng
Need wider tyres ? 265...not enough?
Too much camber - go with 0 degrees ? rear is negative 1.5 deg. Suppose to be OEM spec. Thought all BMW comes with negative camber. How can be "0"?
Change your rear suspension compression settings softer ? Can't change, its fixed.

:helpp!:

Maybe change the suspension and a different type of tyres ? The 335s I've seen with certain aftermarket suspensions seems to be grippy......when accelerating the rears seems going down than up ......

If you swapped your 335 for my 320, that will solve your problem. :nehnehhh:

Go ask smoobies who's selling his relatively new KW v2 for 335 - does he have wheel spins with the KW v2. Then look at the tyres - Advan Sport I think is not as good as F1 Assymmetrical after I tried both.

Just my 2 cents ............
