What's wrong with Singapore roads nowadays?

It has been bad, with the constant digging and lousy "patching" back.

But it seems to get worse, nowadays every road seems to be full of uneven patches. And not small patches, but long one that stretches for hundreds of metres. And some are horizontal meaning they are practically speed strips (or whatever it is called).

Also, many pot holes are appearing.

What's happening? My metal parts won't last long on these roads....

Not surprising bro. My 2nd set of stock suspension died less than 30k km. Gave me an excuse to go Bilsteins last week though.

I piss on those companies who anyhow patch roads back.

Oh on a separate note, I went to jurong west n also bukit merah, the hdb mscp slopes were a damn steep n I had to go down real slow or else bumper sure scrape. I also piss on those mscp designers

Once I left my front Veilside bumper behind at the Bukit Merah central HDB MSCP. Didn't have enough space to go down at an angle, went straight and the whole car just got stuck. No choice, when back and forth and the bumper tore off. F.

Can't tell if I am driving in Delhi or Singapore these days........indian worker use India standard for road surfacing is typical e.g why would they be basing it on previous SG standards.

But the foreman should know better ......

yeah ... spore roads are getting from bad to worst
the whole of singapore from north, south, east and west is under construction
minister said MCE road is the best ... as good as F1 track quality tarmac

WTH are everyone complanting about? Come on people, this is called progress!














Note: Am having same sentiments. Got my LED headlamp's connection dislodged thrice bcos of such road surfaces... OBC symbol pops, thgh blub blew, got it checked and it is just dislodged from the connection, blub is fine. FML and damn SG road, so much for progress.

The one that takes the cake at Bukit Merah is not the MSCP but the former SPRING Singapore building just down the road. Torturous just to get up one level.

LTA is actually very prompt in fixing potholes as long as they are reported. I emailed them and the holes were fixed within 3 days. Plus they will call to inform and thank you. LTA ftw!

Weird. I emailed a few times through the feedback portal and the roads still suck. Maybe post Straits Times better.

I had one side of my front grill dislodged too at the underpass from Marina Blvd to Central Blvd. Realised after I parked at MBS, went back straightaway to find and it is gone.

Someone had for a souvenir or used it at a bbq.

And today travelled at MCE, smooth roads, bad traffic, because of bad planning.

WTH are everyone complanting about? Come on people, this is called progress!

Try to re-send the email again and this time round Cc the big bosses in LTA. You can get their contacts here http://www.sgdi.gov.sg. Look under stat board and you will see a long list of people under LTA.
