Hi Random,
so far i've never heard that rims and tyres will void warranty but maybe you wanna check with your SE as not sure do they have any new guidelines to follow............................
usually the parts that you mods the warranty will be void.
maybe other senior can comment on this too........

Think of it this way - if you are a legal counsel representing the authorised agent, does changing tyres or brakes affect the performance of the car?
Could the mods result in change in the stock characteristics of cars so much so that it raises the "risk" level of the car? It is a perceptive issue, but if the answer is very grey, and I am willing to bet that there is no SOP in this issue.
It is up to them to say.

whichever part is not stock, will void your warrenty. sometime they might even tell you stuff like "because of this and that thus warrenty is void"

This "heightened-risk-therefore-void-warranty" is very prevalent in the car insurance sector now...... no one exactly knows what constitutes "modding" which could void insurance claims, ONLY when the claims are needed - that means unless after accidents happened, you will not know whether a CAI mod or new wheels are acceptable in the eyes of these companies.
The qualitative assessment could be moving goalposts.
Best is - get PI if you wanna mod.

if nothing happens (god bless ...) then the issue of warranty will never surface. But once there is an issue, anything and everything that is not stock from manufacturer is subjected to microscope for warranty issues. A example is our car key. Many have complained about the distance that the car can lock/unlock. But if we bring it back to PML, they most probally will blame the flim that we put on our cars' window / windscreen.
After the issue with PML warranty, next issue will be your insurance company. Similiarly, if nothing happens (God Bless...) then they will happily retain you as their treasured client. But if something happens, they will scope your car to check if it's accordance with the manufacturer specifications.
Hope my 2 cents help you in making an inform decision....
