What rims is that?

Hi all,

I have seen some E90 with this set of 17" BMW sport rim. Its a normal set of rim with thin spookes, anyone know what rims are they? And where can I get them? Currently on 18" and thinking of changing back to 17" for better performance...

Hope someone here knows which rims I am talking about, and picture will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Vince

Could t be the Type 160's?

They are not very light, and are an absolutely pain to clean. But its ok if you dont wash your own car and get it washed outside :). Lots of these for sale 2nd hand here in Malaysia as it comes as a standard fitment for the E90 320i SE.

PM me if you need contacts of folks selling the 160 used with CSC2 SSR tyres RFT.

Hi mate,

Thanks for the info, it looks something like this, but the centre doesn't sink in... I have seen a few E90s with that rims, so I supposed that it came as an option for that rims... the spookes are thin...

Can't seem to find the pics on the net..

Cheers

For your info, the rim that you are looking for is also 18", M193.

Re: What rims is that?

Oh is it? it looks like 17" to me... Hmm... Any idea where I can get it? whats the weight anyone?

Re: What rims is that?

You can get it from PML or check with Eng Soon. Weight may be around 11 - 12 kg each.

downgrading to 17inch for better performance?? dont joke...

not as if u downgrade one inch u change the fact that you are driving the same car...

ur car not gonna be any better... trust me... i have used 16,17,18,19,20 inch on the same car... even FC difference is negligible

Ok, thanks a lot for your advice mate. Thought changing to smaller rims might improve the pickup and FC. Of course I know the car is not going to shoot off like a rocket from stop -still. But I thought will be slightly better?

Anway, I thought that was a 17" rims, at least it looks like one to me. Since you said anything from 16 to 20" doesn't change anything, then I might just switch to that rims. Thanks a lot mate

Cheers
