Second, FC. Remember - larger diameter is compensated by thinner profile tyres, so the net increment is lesser than you think. What really matter is not to read into the diameter numbers per se, but the overall weight reduction from stock wheels + stock tyres. You can have a 3-inch jump from 16 to 19 and still ended up a lighter wheel setup. Also, light wheel + heavy tyre setup is a pain, since the weight is spread centrifugally at the outermost circumference compared to heavy wheel + light tyres. So, X kg overall is not the same as X kg overall.
Third, lipped design works well on aesthetics only when the offset is aggressive (thicker lip) and if your car is SLAMMED.
Fourth, number of spokes matters in relation to your brakes. Stock brakes, go for multiple spokes, esp huge sedans. Aftermarket BBKs large rotors, or on coupes, can live with lesser spokes.

i also want to upgrade from 18 -> 19
if the new rim weight and tyre weight is lighter than the current setup = net gain in unsprung weight = better acceleration and better braking ?
the only concern is profile ... 40/35 to 35/30 .... comfort suffer![]()
ur 17" are multispoke which actually makes the rims look slightly larger then it shld. quite ok if u ask me.etan1;526573 said:I am on stock 17" with the RFTs. enjoying the 1st 370km so far.
Since reading up on the upgrades to 19", everytime I see the car, the rims look so tiny. Got me looking around the available options.
The forum is poisonous! But... I like...![]()

Nice rims don't necessarily need bodykit.gooiee;526470 said:wow....looks good and not as 'large' as i tot it might be. kinda sits in nicely
What do you guys think of deep dish 19' on e60? will look too weird without at least a M5 bodykit?
