Hi SG members,
What a good experienced with PML.

Bought a TV tuner from our SG member, which having the same head set as

mine (with GPS & Navi), after the direct connection on my car, TV reception was poor, only

solution is to send in to PML for checking. After 2 working days, the service adviser informed

me it could be my antenna or cable faults. & they charged me $600 on labour for that, (was the charges fair) ?

Finally have it checked by BVO Ah Wee & notice that there are 2 additional

antennas from pillar C & settled my TV problem,( Why PML didn't notice it, as the set was

previously installed by them)

Now ....... to show our Bimmer owners who's work better & more details then

our SO CALL BMW SERVICE AGENT.

REALLY FEEL SHAME OF THIS KIND OF STANDARD WE HAD HERE.

Re: What PML standard .????

Well according to statistic, PML sold 3,457 cars last year. Considering that they need a service call once every 3 months, that would be some 45 cars calling in each day (if PML worked 6 days per week).
Now, that 3 years warranty thingy would bring in cars from year sold 2004 and 2003. Hence if you dis-regards the repeat and add-hoc calls, you'll still be looking at about 100 cars per day. How is the workshop going to cope with this numbers? Sending the technician to AG for training itself is quite an investment not to mention the time involved.
Toolings and facilities wise is another big issues. Hmmm... maybe that's why they needed a new and bigger centre to run the biz. Perhaps they seriously needs to re-look at their structure and capacity in this regards.

Re: What PML standard .????

how many workshops does PML have at present? how does other car distributor who sell even more cars handle the cars then? if what u said is the case, then there may be a serious case of denial-of-service on PML workshop...
