What is the resale market of a import used bimmer?

I am considering an import used car 325 coupe which is about 25% off PML listed price. It is under BMW international 2 years warranty.

Is there a market out there if i plan to sell it after a few years?

i would suggest u study the prices out there closely, not just PML's.
1stly, how old is the used car u are talking abt? have u compared with similarly aged used 325 available in SG cos its usually the 1st owner who have to suffer a hefty loss when they resell it. in addition, u can try asking PIs such as our site sponsor, First Automobile for pricing on a PI 325 or maybe whether they happen to have a 325 for resale. using the imported car price against PML's not really a benchmark for comparison, thats my personal view. more sense to compare it against the 2 types i mentioned in my above post

To be exact, i couldn't compare apple with apple....I am comparing this imported car 325i 3000cc against a PML model 2500cc and worried if there is a market for imported car if i want to sell it in future.

Imho a substantial part of the 25% savings will b gone when u sell it in a few yrs...

A fren of mine is also eyeing a used imported bimmer with a "PML 24 mths warranty" as said by dealer..

With the BMW international 2 yrs warranty, is it the same as a warranty from PML?

Any other concerns I shd note?

how does the rebate work for this? is there some sort of a PARF rebate as per normal cars? lastly, heard there is a 10k fee or something like that?

How come its a 325 but with a 3ltr engine? based on the catalog only the 325 diesal uses the 3l engine. any idea on the OMV?

I guess if the price is cheap from the start... it doesn't matter much on the resale value right...

IMO, not much precedent out there for your to benchmark prices unfortunately.

This is because I believe LTA only started allowing used-cars to be imported 1-2 years back. So there isn't enough such cars on the road now that is being sold by the first owner for you to judge. Coupled that with the current economic situation, the entire used car mkt is dislocated, making it harder for even used agent cars to be priced fairly.

(I know coz I'm getting low balled everywhere I go!)
