What causes engine to have squeaking sound

Just wondering, what causes the engine to have a squeaking sound...
Is it coming from one of the belts?

How to get rid of it?
It goes "eeeeeeeeeeee" in a high pitched way...
like some old Mercedes benz engines

Last time in my other car, they just oiled it. But please check the belt, I just changed my fan belt because it has small crack all over the place.

hi there it may be your engine tensional bearing,pulleys(if i got it right?). have got it change once due to the similar sound appearing like you described. wear and tear
