What a lucky day

Collected my e90 FL(Used) today, went change rims and drove for 5mins and "car dead". Can't start after that only hear the crank sound, no faulty icon light up, but radio, aircon(no cold air) clock is working .Then called dealer but he say could be the sensor issue after rims changed. Now have to leave my car there to check. Really? could not be even more lucky than this.:ultrasho::ultrasho::ultrasho:

Re: What a lucky day

Should be battery, impossible due to rims change

Re: What a lucky day

the dealer may just say that today's hot weather of 35.5 deg was the cause of it.

Re: What a lucky day

Thx for all the advise guys , will see how it goes tomorrow.

Thanks

Re: What a lucky day

If still have crank sound then i also think the battery kaput liao.comfirm nothing to do with rim change.

Re: What a lucky day

Starter motor maybe? But got crank sound so maybe not. But definitely not the rims. Since you get the car for 1 day only. Make sure the dealer solve it for you.

Re: What a lucky day

Well STA stated battery is in good condition last month But … >.< Lol.

I drove less than 2 hours, was happily changing rims and then front grill to matt black then happily on the way to do number plate.

Damn lucky boy!

So was it the battery? BMW batt r supposed to last, at least mine lasted 6 years before it's gone. Starter motor most likely if cannot start. Else the alternator might be one of the highest possibilities for electrical system to fail.

Re: What a lucky day

Whatever the reason is, please believe the dealer when he says that this is related to the Valentine's Day astrological influence, and the haze from Indonesia. Very knowledgeable dealer.

Re: What a lucky day

Just confirm, Its not batt still checking now….

TBA this is the first time i get from a 2nd hand dealer, my last 2 ride was direct from agent. Reason is heard too many stories just never expect to be in now. Wish COE were lesser and won't turn to this purchase. :lol2:

How come your STA inspection is last month but you only just collect yesterday? If there is a next time I would take it to one of the Sponsor's workshops or AA for pre-sales inspection. Anyway I hope your problem is a simple fix.

They did it before they post for sales week ago. There is warranty cover by one of our site sponsor and inspection result is ok was done 1 day before collection . Therefore i didn't do anymore inspection. Just confirm from dealer is fuel pumb faulty.:wtf:
