SINGAPORE: Shell said the issue of water found in the petrol from its Seletar Hills petrol kiosk on Monday was an isolated case.
Responding to queries from Channel NewsAsia, Shell said it had received feedback from a few customers about engine problems after refilling at the station on Monday evening.
It said its investigations showed it was an isolated case of water in a tank of Fuelsave 95 petrol at that station.
"We immediately stopped sale of the fuel from the affected tank upon learning of the issue. No other tank at the station and no other station is affected," says the spokesman
The company said as the incident happened at off-peak hours, the number of cars affected was small.
It said it is working with customers to ascertain if there is cause for concern, and "shall render the necessary assistance".
Those who need to contact Shell can call its customer service hotline during office hours.
