Washer Fluid - Leak suspected

I’m driving a F10 528i. Notice that my washer fluid(for windscreen and headlight) for some reason somehow cannot maintain its full level. Even if I don’t use it, when I try to top up, there’s quite a lot refilling to do. Also notice that after I turn off the ignition and open the bonnet, I can see some smoke coming from the side nearer the reservoir. I think there might be a leak on the washer fluid reservoir. Anyone has any similar experience on this?

Yup every time I refuel, I had to top up water into the washer bottle. Mechanic told me it a flaw in design due to heat. So had been a routine during my 5 years ownership.

I have had this problem for many years, changed the reservoir, pump. PML couldnt solve the problem. I read in one of the US forum to change the reservoir cover. I did and it worked. No more topping up of water.
