Scratcher catch on camera but.......... - Page 50 - MyCarForum

This chap went all the way to the authorities - magitrates, subcourts, police, whatever - and ....... culprit walked away with a warning....... basically, the authorities cannot do much on damages on private properties......

Looks like vigilante justice will work better in this case.....

Re: Was Your Car Scratched?

Weren't the vandalised cars in a certain American's case also private property? Oh wait, I forget - one of the cars belonged to a judge....

Re: Was Your Car Scratched?

how does vigilante justice work? wouldnt that lend yourself with assault charges?

But you have your rights to protect your personal properties, since the authorities could not provide that protection......

I strongly believe it is not a case of "CANNOT" but more a case of "WILL NOT"....

If someone tries to rob you, can you defend yourself?

thats a life threatening situation. in the case of vandalism its material goods at stake not life. polis can argue that such things can and shld be solved ammicably?

dun get me wrong, iam very much for vigilante justice. just need to get all angles covered

i guess if you vigilante-scratch back
then you'll be assured that the most that'll happen to you is a stern warning.

imagine if that really happened
Cars all over the island would be covered with scratches.
Scratched would be the new polished.

Re: Was Your Car Scratched?

A similar incident happened at my condo recently. There's a doctor who owns 2 cars, a Merc and 5 series. His 2 cars were vandalized twice and the culprit was never caught. Obviously, he made such a big hu-ha with the security guards & management office.

Then, he installed a hidden cam and caught the guy when he tried to do it the 3rd time. It turned out that it was an old man in his 70s who has mental health issues.

The doctor still went to the police even after knowing the old man did it.

Why did the old man target the doctor, nobody knows.

This Chong guy should be hanged by his ball's vein...

SPF/AGC is really a letdown...If only Chong has done the same on Lee's family car....his butt would be caned until it looks like zebra skin by now...

probably not an apple to apple comparison kentonna...

scenario A: someone robs u and u kick him back to protect yourself.

scenario B: someone robs u. You find out where he lives. You go to his house and robs him back...

Robbery needs not be life-threatening. Can be a snatch-and-run. Try resolving it amicably.

No it is definitely not apple-to-apple comparison in our eyes, but in the authorities' eyes, they are the same !!!

Private properties, you go handle yourself !!!
