Warning bells and whistles

Last night drove into the petrol kiosk. Stopped the car but pulled the handbrake a little too quickly and I heard a crunch sound.

Filled up. Came back. Started the car.

Dings and dongs went off, with a red logo showing "hoist the car up".

Drove off and realise with handbrake down, the handbrake on signal is still there.

Did I snap my handbrake cable?

hahaha, hanbrake turn into the pump is cool, but seems you did it wrong.

so even though you pulled the handle, the handle is actually in the down position?

engaged the handbrake.. so the light came on normally. turned off the car.

came back, started the car, the red hoist the car up warning light comes on.. and then released the handbrake, but the handbrake engaged light is still on...

just curious what may be wrong. i'm bringing the car in on thursday. at least it still drives.

does it feel like the brake is on? actually i cant notice in my car, haha

could just be the switch

but no it doesn't feel like it's on... basically with car in D, handbrake on, it rolls happily without resistance...

in D, handbrake on, it still rolls?

you better get it fixed on Thursday, gf will not be pleased going on valentines day outing in taxi

my SA asked me to double confirm if i wanted my car in on thursday..

actually it's for them to look at the cooling system.. car is feverish.. dribbles coolant all over the bottom plates... and now this issue...

what a way to start the rat year...

really erp.. every rat pays..

Maybe it wore out already?

because im a fan of handbrake turns..
so my handbrake is getting less and less efficient...
it used to be able to go only up to around 35 degrees when i engage it.
but now can pull up to almost 50-60 degrees. lol.

this is uber weird. took the car out for a drive. the warning still came on. stopped at a carpark for a while. and then started the car again... it was gone... :?

you probably just freaked out the BCM for a bit.

It happened to me when trying to do a burnout, all the abs, traction control blah blah stayed lit for 2 days, then it reset itself
